Thanh Trà Pomelo Essential Oil

Part used for extraction: Fresh Thanh Trà pomelo peel.

Scientific name: Citrus grandis var. Thanh Trà. Thanh Trà is a famous variety of pomelo and a specialty of Huế.

Chemical composition:

• Limonene: 50,16%
• Myrcene: 23,20%
• Terpinene <g-> : 17,37%
• Pinene <a->: 1,47%

Color: Huế Thanh Trà essential oil is a very pale lemon-yellow. It is highly volatile and leaves no trace on the skin when it evaporates.

Scent: The distinctive aroma of Thanh Trà pomelo, giving a cool, clean feeling.

How to use:

1. Hair treatment before shampooing

Before shampooing, apply 5-10 drops of Huế Thanh Trà essential oil to your hair and scalp. Massage gently so the oil soaks deep into the hair and scalp. Leave it on for about 15-30 minutes, or overnight if you have time.

2. Add to conditioner or hair mask

Add a few drops of Huế Thanh Trà essential oil to your usual conditioner or hair mask. Use as normal when washing your hair.

3. Leave-in hair care after washing

After washing, towel-dry your hair.

Put a few drops of Huế Thanh Trà essential oil  on your fingertips and gently run them through your hair from the ends up to the crown.

4. Detangle and soften hair

Whether your hair is dry or damp, you can use Huế Thanh Trà essential oil to keep it soft and smooth and reduce tangles.

5. Make a natural detangling hair oil

Combine Huế Thanh Trà essential oil with other ingredients such as coconut oil, jojoba oil or sunflower seed oil to create a natural product that nourishes hair and reduces tangling and hair loss.

6. Relax and sleep well with Huế Thanh Trà essential oil

Steam inhalation with Huế Thanh Trà essential oil helps you relax and eases nausea: Add 3-5 drops of essential oil to a pot of hot water or a facial steamer and steam your face for 5-10 minutes, breathing deeply. Keep this up for about 10 minutes, or simply inhale the oil directly.

Using an oil diffuser lamp: Add 2-3 drops of essential oil to the diffuser, switch it on and enjoy the fragrance as it fills the room.

You can also put a few drops of Huế Thanh Trà essential oil on your pillow, blanket or mattress and let the scent gradually spread, helping you feel refreshed and sleep well.

7. Create unique flavors with Huế Thanh Trà essential oil

For a distinctive flavor, you can add the essential oil to baking ingredients, chè (Vietnamese sweet dessert soup) or other dishes. Note that Huế Thanh Trà essential oil has a very strong taste, so experiment one drop at a time until you find the recipe you like.
